How to resolve conflicts when you’re caught in the middle
Consider the following situation:
This morning when I entered my office I felt tension and started wondering what was going on. I sat down in front of my computer ready to plan the day but couldn’t get rid of this feeling of anxiety. Suddenly, one of my colleagues, Amanda, who looked very angry, came to me saying: “I need to talk to you, boss!” She had a serious problem working with Josh (another member of the team). I had heard they didn’t get along but had thought they would handle it themselves.
Meanwhile, I got a message from Josh saying: “Dear management team, I no longer can work with Amanda and would like to change my department.
